know us
Hey, we're Joe & Jess 👋
This one starts in America. Joe was over there when he tried a proper soft, chewy caramel apple for the first time — and came back a changed man. Turns out it's a classic North American treat, but here in NZ and Australia, caramel apples basically don't exist. The closest thing most of us grew up with is the rock-hard toffee apple — the kind that takes a run-up to bite into.
So Joe started making his own version, and opened a small storefront in Australia. About 8 years ago, we started dating, and I came on board — and we've been growing it together ever since.
Tart Granny Smiths, hand-rolled caramel, cut into wedges instead of bitten whole. Nothing fancy — just something we'd actually want to eat ourselves.
And just so we're clear: these aren't toffee apples. No hard shell, no broken fillings. If it's your first time trying one, you're in for a pretty fun surprise.
We landed in New Zealand in November 2025 — but we've actually been doing this for over 10 years in Australia. So while we're new faces around here, we've had a decade to figure out exactly what makes a really good caramel apple.
